Learning should never stop, not even at these difficult times when the whole world is facing the Covid-19 pandemic. We are pleased to propose Online Astronomy & space sciences workshops for students. Science learning is at the forefront of the education that each institution and educational bodies like CBSE/NCERT and government agencies are focusing on. As a nation, we are looking to develop in technology and campaigns like Digital India, Skill India and Make in India are priority.
These have put a strong focus on youth and how they are learning science. As without Scientific Temper (ST), it would be impossible to achieve the above. STEM learning is a focus area for every educationist. SPACE organization through its unrelenting work in the field of science, astronomy and space science education since 2001 has etched a mark not just in India but worldwide. The only company to have successfully run astronomy and space science curriculum and projects for the student community and to have thrived on the trust of parents and schools for so long. It has developed through indigenous R&D its programs, hence making them relevant to Indian students and according to Indian education standards. It trains more than 40,000 students every year in astronomy and space science and has partnered with more than 500 institutions till now for its programs. Astronomy and Space Sciences are the most effective way to inculcate ST and make young minds learn science.
Continuing with this tradition, we have come up with an exciting series of online experiential sessions on Astronomy and Space Sciences for the lockdown days. Introduction to exciting and new concepts of astronomy and space sciences, by interactive presentations, use of technology, series of easy and friendly demonstrations and experiential activities that can be performed easily at home are being planned to enhance the learning curve, keeping mind the skill set and acumen of the participants.
The course is designed to inculcate the spirit of enquiry and logical thinking, to ask questions and seek solution by problem solving approach and to do & learn science derived from nature. The program is structured in such a way that the participant gets complete exposure to various aspects of astronomy and space sciences. It aims to create a new horizon and vision for the child, through which the child develops as a valuable human being for the society and the nation and a science explorer for life.
