Ghosalai have been a significant part of our Indian traditions and culture as it is synonymous with cow protection or the place where cows are nurtured, protected, and sheltered. Cows are a symbol of abundance and sanctity of life in our culture, so they are referred to as Gau-mata (Mother cow) and are worshipped too. Protecting our indigenous cows and letting them live their life with kindness and respect is the primary goal of every gaushala. Sri Etteluthu Perumal Ghosalai is also dedicated to protecting our sacred indigenous cows from harm and creating awareness about the importance of cows in our society.
