The Karnataka High Court on Monday urged the state government to provide food packets to daily wage employees who may be deprived of earnings due to the spread of CoronaVirus and subsequent lockdown notified by the
government, in several districts of the state.
With the help of this fundraiser, we will be delivering the whole month's ration to the workers' families in Bangalore who are affected by lockdown due to the Coronavirus outbreak. This model will be replicated in Bijapur, Mysore and other cities across Karnataka as we receive more donations.
Phapa is an organization empowering the underprivileged and workers from the unorganized sector through technology and value-added services. We are a Life Management service provider and help the lower strata masses to obtain a better, more secure life.
Phapa has joined hands with the Truck Driver's Association in Karnataka and they are willing to provide voluntary services; 10,000 trucks will be provided in order to reach out to the workers.
The funds raised will be mainly for our members who are distressed due to the shutdown:
-Construction workers
-Unorganized sector workers
-Farmers
