The story of change – Stenshila Hembram
Badlao Foundation takes this opportunity to share the story of Stenshila Hembram who started her journey with Badlao Foundation as a social worker. Badlao Foundation has given her the opportunity and platform to develop herself in the field of social work. The journey which had a struggle, hard work, and determination has now resulted in the story of change. She from her learnings stepped ahead becoming the voice of the people of her community. She has been working relentlessly to bring change in the lives of the people she works with. She has been successful in creating a positive change in the lives of the people she works with.
Stenshila Hembram was born into a tribal community in a small village in the state of Jharkhand. From a young age, she was determined to make a difference in her community. Today she holds the position of Mukhiya (Elected Representative) and now, she is working hard to improve the lives of her community members. She is fighting for their rights and helping them to access the resources they need. She is also encouraging other women in her village to step forward and participate in the democratic process. With her leadership, the women of her village are beginning to see a brighter future ahead of them.
We are happy to present the story behind her success through a short documentary and appeal to all of you to come forward and support many such women of the tribal community who can become the voice of change. Your support can encourage them to step forward and help them to develop themselves as a leader exploring new opportunities.
