Artist Support during the Pandemic Crisis: Amarrass COVID-19 Relief Fund
The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted our communities, including the performing arts industry. Most concerts and tours have been cancelled, production work has gone on hold, and all live entertainment is at a standstill for the foreseeable future. Some of the most vulnerable are the folk musicians, elderly artists and artisans in rural India, with no income and facing extreme hardship and hunger.
Live performances form the bulk of artist earnings for the year, with further income from music and merchandise sales at concerts. With NO income expected expected from these
sources until 2021 Amarrass is starting an alternative sustainability model. In line with our mantra of MAKING MUSIC SUSTAINABLE, we are launching virtual live concerts, digital releases, and a donation campaign.
So many people have asked us what they can do to help during this time. We are humbly asking for your help. If you able to donate, we would be most grateful for that support. 100% of all funds raised will go directly to Amarrass artists and ensure their immediate future and take care of their families. Please share with your friends, family and community.
NOTE: Payments are in Indian Rupees. Exchange rate as of May 25 2020: USD 100 = INR 7500; Euro 100 = INR 8800.
